Since 1992 the German Federal Foreign Office offers training for international diplomats from countries of the region and from around the world. Read more on the website of the Federal Foreign Office with downloads of courses offered in the past and the programme for the upcoming months.

Participation in the seminar is free of charge. The Federal Foreign Office will assume the costs for tuition and accommodation and will provide insurance cover for participants for the duration of the seminar. Participants will be lodged in centrally located fully furnished single occupancy apartments. The insurance comprises travel health insurance (for emergency care, not previously existing conditions), accident insurance and personal liability insurance. A small per diem allowance of 15,- Euros/day will also be paid to each participant to cover additional expenses. The seconding countries are expected to release participants on full pay but otherwise are responsible only for their travel costs to and from Berlin.Applicants should not be older than 35 years and should have at least a bachelors’ degree.
