National visa (stay over 90 days)

Persons who wish to stay in Germany for more than 90 days are required to obtain a residence. Citizens of the countries of the jurisdiction of the Embassy (Trinidad and Tobago, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Suriname, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, Montserrat) need a residence permit prior to their entry. 

Applicants over the age of 12 years have to submit biometric data. These applicants therefore have to apply personally at the German Embassy in Port of Spain!

Au Pair Visa

All persons who wish to work as an Au Pair in a family in Germany are required to obtain a residence permit in the form of a visa.
