German Ambassador hands over donation of sports equipment to football teams

On Saturday, 17 December 2011, German Ambassador Stefan Schlüter  officially handed over a sports donation including uniforms and other equipment to the TTFF Under 15 Women’s Development Programme – East Zone and the Tunapuna Titans Football Academy’s under 11 boys team at Constantine Park, Macoya.

The Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Guido Westerwelle said, that ”international sports promotion has been an integral part of Germany’s cultural relations and education policy since 1961. German foreign policy is geared to a dialogue between cultures. Sport can build bridges, it teaches people in an enjoyable way how to accept rules, respect their opponents, celebrate success together, and also how to cope with defeat.”
