Every year, on behalf of the Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany, in cooperation with the Sports Science Faculty of the University of Leipzig, the university organizes several International Courses of Continued Studies for coaches and P.E. teachers from Latin America & the Caribbean. The applicants must be nationals of Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Montserrat, Suriname, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia or St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Course date: 4th September 2017 – 31st January 2018
Deadline of application: 1st May 2017
All courses are translated in English. Eligable for application are applicants up to 40 years of age with:
- a university/college degree in the field of sports
- experience as active athletes and as coaches / P.E. teachers
- good physical and psychological aptitude.
The duration of the courses is 5 months (either from March till July or from September till January)
- specialization (theory and practice)
- general science of training
- sports medicine
- sports pedagogy
- sports psychology
- strength training
- sports massage
- German language
The course is sponsored by the Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany. Every participant receives a monthly allowance. Participant have to bear the costs for travelling to Leipzig and back home.
