Knut and Friends at NALIS
Directed by Emmy award-winning Michael Johnson (Divided, The Nutcracker & the Mouseking) "Knut and Friends" tells the story of Knut the polar bear, who was hand reared by zookeepers at the Berlin Zoo – the only polar bear cub to survive in captivity in 30 years. The film also follows the lives of other bears in the wild, including a pair of orphaned brown bears in Belarus and a mother and her three cubs in Alaska, and their struggles for survival.
The film will be followed by a Buccoo Reef Trust Production on the subject of “Islands on the Edge – A look at climate change in the Caribbean”.
UWI Master student Ms. Ladaana Kanhai will be guiding through the afternoon and discussing climate issues with the children.
The event promises to be a great school outing and interested teachers, principals and parents are invited to call 628 1630 for more information.
